  • Job Details
  • Hospital in Southern Arizona is looking for RNs to complete a 13 week assignment on their Med Surg 2 West unit.
  • The right candidates will have 3+ years of experience and have an active BLS.
    • Job Requirements
    • 3+ years of experience as an RN.
    • 1 year in specialty required.
    • Active BLS certification.
    • Preferred: ACLS certification.
    • Active AZ or Compact nursing license.
      • Schedule Information
      • Shifts are 6:45 am to 7:15 pm, days or nights.
      • Weekend Requirement: Every other.
      • Holiday Requirement: Typically 2/3 holidays.
      • On-call Requirement: Low Census On Call.
        • Unit Specific Information
        • Nurse Patient Ratios: Days 1:5-6, Nights 1:6.
        • Common diagnoses/Types of patients include: Pneumonia, COPD, Radiation patients, AKI, occasional lap chole, appy, etc.
        • RNs are required to manage medications such as Heparin & Lasix gtt-non titrated.
        • Charge Nurse presence: Sometimes free but can take assignment if needed.
        • Nurse aids/Patient care techs available: PCA, 8-12 per person.
        • Respiratory Equipment: Bipap, stable trach.
        • Tele/Monitor Techs: Present on this unit. Travelers do not need to read tele, there is a dedicated monitor tech.
        • Floating Requirements: Float to MedSurg, stable low acuity in ICU, RDU, and Foothills clinic RDU.
        • Scrub Color: Navy Blue.
          • Additional Details
          • Radius Rule: 100 miles
          • Time Off: Ensure dates are 5 days or less and make sense for the start date.
          • EMR: EPIC experience required.
          • Submissions must include resumes with detailed duties, hospital size, unit size, trauma level, and up-to-date certifications.
