  • Hospital in Southern Arizona is looking for RNs to complete a 13-week assignment on their Med Surg 2 West unit.
  • The right candidates will have 3+ years of experience and have an active BLS.

    • 3+ years of experience
    • Active BLS certification
    • EPIC experience required
    • Able to account for any employment gaps
    • Duties must include hospital size, unit size, trauma level if applicable
    • Active and in-hand AZ or Compact license
      • Schedule Information
      • Shifts & Scheduling: 6:45-7:15 am/pm
      • Weekend Requirement: Every other
      • Holiday Requirement: Typically 2/3 holidays
      • Low Census On Call requirement
      • Unit/department specific orientation schedule provided
        • Unit Specific Information
        • # of Beds: 90- double occupancy beds
        • Common diagnoses/Types of patients: Mostly medical- Pneumonia, COPD, Radiation pts, AKI, occasional lap chole, appy, etc.
        • Experience: 2 years as RN, 1 year specialty
        • Are RNs required to titrate drips?: Heparin & lasix gtt-non titrated
        • Is there a Charge Nurse on each shift?: Charge- sometimes free but can take assignment if needed
        • Are there nurse aids/patient care techs on this unit: PCA. 8-12 per person
        • RT Equipment: Bipap, stable trach
        • Are there tele/monitor techs on this unit?: Travelers don't need to read tele, there is a dedicated monitor tech
        • Floating Requirements: MedSurg, stable low acuity in ICU, RDU and Foothills clinic RDU
        • Scrub Color: Navy Blue
          • Additional Details
          • Radius Rule: 100 miles
          • Start Date: 12/9
          • Start dates not flexible
          • EMR must be listed on each work assignment
          • Time Off: 5 days or less, to be included in the profile/resume
