  • Hospital in Southern Arizona is looking for RNs to complete a 13 week assignment on their Med Surg 2 West unit.
  • The right candidates will have 3+ years of experience and have an active BLS.
    • Job Requirements
    • 3+ years of experience as an RN
    • Active BLS certification
    • EPIC experience required
    • Must have accurate resume information including detailed duties, hospital size, unit size, and trauma level if applicable
    • Active Arizona or Compact license
      • Schedule Information
      • Shifts: 6:45-7:15am/pm
      • Weekend Requirement: Every other
      • Holiday Requirement: Typically 2/3 holidays
      • Low Census On Call requirement
      • Floating Requirements: MedSurg, stable low acuity in ICU, RDU and Foothills clinic RDU
        • Unit Specific Information
        • Department: Med Surg - Tele
        • Scrub Color: Navy Blue
        • Shifts & Scheduling: 6:45-7:15am/pm
        • Are RNs required to titrate drips?: Heparin & lasix gtt-non titrated.
        • Is there a Charge Nurse on each shift?: Charge- sometimes free but can take assignment if needed.
        • Are there nurse aids/patient care techs on this unit: PCA. 8-12 per person.
        • RT Equipment: Bipap, stable trach.
        • Are there tele/monitor techs on this unit?: Tele on this unit, Travelers don't need to read tele, there is a dedicated monitor tech.
          • Additional Details
          • Start dates are not flexible.
          • Submission profile requirements must be met for consideration.
          • Nurse patient ratios: DAYS - 1:5-6 NIGHTS - 1:6
          • # of Beds: 90- double occupancy beds.
          • Common diagnoses/Types of patients: Mostly medical- Pneumonia, COPD, Radiation pts, AKI, occasional lap chole, appy, etc.
